About us
ECE PlayLab is a Reggio Emilia inspired Licensed Childcare located at the Southwest of Calgary in the friendly neighborhood of Kingsland.
At ECE PlayLab, we aim at creating a space of wonder for our children, families and educators. Our Early Childhood Educators (aka Play Facilitators) value the child as a competent and capable learner. We celebrate children’s 100 languages through their expressive forms of play and exploration.

Our vision and mission
ECE PlayLab is founded to advocate for child-directed and internally motivated play in early childhood. We are dedicated to fostering a safe and care-free environment where children are encouraged to explore, inquire, create and develop a love for lifelong learning. We adopt an authentic emergent curriculum that is inspired by Reggio Emilia approach. We are equally committed to fostering environmental stewardship through green education, instilling in children a sense of responsibility for the world around them through sustainability practices.
